“Okay, this is a public service announcement: It's pronounced [paɪθ], people, not [pɪθ]. I'm just sayin'. Why does everyone make that mistake? Really. Okay! Done now.”

Because 'y' can sometimes be 'i'? I don't know, I was saying 'Pie-th', because everytime I see "pythian" I think "python"

(also, ACCENT! HAS AMUSED ME!)

Yes, exactly! Pyth, Python, Pythagoras! This is how my name is said! With the I of "life" and "bright", not the I of "piss"!

(BAH. *IS CANADIAN AT YOU*)

Yeah, 'y' to me is that long 'eye' sound.

(I'M SORRY. IT'S JUST. ACCENT!)

(*possibly shouldn't, given her own*)

Yes, I know, I'm using the word "piss" to demonstrate (edit: and mock) the relevant vowel sound.

i always knew it was pyth like pythagorean but seeing 'pyth' just makes my brain automatically go 'PITHY' idk why.

... i kinda do both. /fail but i'm used to calling you/thinking of you as lienne either way.

See icon? That's me, rewiring my brain to fix "Pyth" mix-up. (I must say that I pronounce pythagoras as \pih-tha-go-ras\ if left to my own devices (Spanish influence ftw) but will mimic "pie" versions. (Mmm, pie.) The internets confuses me even more.

I'm just going to keep on calling you Lienne in my head, if that's ok.

Also, zomg forgot what your voice was like. Yay voice post!

i really shouldn't be listening to this over and over

Hah, I win! \o/ It's probably because of "Pythagoras", actually. Which is further proof that English is ALWAYS RIGHT. (Yes I know it's not an English name ssshh. >_>)

Edit: Hey, hey! You have a microphone! xD
